Learning Essential Approaches to Palliative Care (LEAP) is Pallium Canada's award-winning suite of courseware on palliative care for health care organizations and professionals. LEAP courses provide health care professionals with the knowledge, attitudes, and skills to help provide palliative care to patients and families facing life-limiting illnesses in a more timely and effective way. Health Care Consent ACP and GOC E-Learning Modules: The Modules are intended for Clinician Competency Training on Health Care Consent, Advance Care Planning, and Goals of Care conversations. Learners will move beyond advancing their knowledge and attitudes to develop clinical skills through interactive case scenarios, reflective questions and vidoes of both simulated and real clincial encounters.  Please click here for more information.

 

Palliative Care ECHO Project: As a capacity-building tele-mentoring program, the Palliative Care ECHO Project is designed to create virtual communities of learners by bringing together local healthcare providers (and community leaders) with regional, provincial/territorial, and national subject matter experts for continuous learning, deep-dive learning opportunities, brief lecture presentations, and quality improvement discussions, fostering an “all learn, all teach” approach. Please click here for more information and to watch upcoming and recorded sessions.

 

Fundamentals of Hospice Palliative Care: Enhance your knowledge of hospice palliative care with this introductory course appropriate for all roles. The Fundamentals of Hospice Palliative Care Core Program is an interactive, introductory level course ideal for any health care provider or volunteer who supports people with life-limiting illnesses. Advanced Comprehensive Education (ACE): Designed for Personal Support Workers (PSWs), this course will grow your hospice palliative care knowledge and expertise. Building on the Fundamentals of Hospice Palliative Care, ACE focuses on the Personal Support Worker’s scope of practice. Comphrehensive Advanced Palliative Care Education (CAPCE): Designed for nurses, this course will grow your hospice palliative care knowledge and expertise. Comprehensive Advanced Palliative Care Education (CAPCE) program is an immersive experience into the “art” and “science” of providing high quality, best evidence-informed palliative care. This program focuses on the development and role of the nurse (RNs, RPNs and NPs) as a hospice palliative care resource for the inter-professional team in long term care homes, home care agencies, hospitals and communities.  Click here for more information.

UofT Palliative Care E-Learnig Program: The goal of the Palliative Care eLearning Program is to enhance family physicians’ knowledge and skills in palliative and end-of-life care. Key issues such as pain and symptom management, providing homecare, and managing patients in the last days of life are covered.
